The Castle of the Templars is one of Ponferrada’s great symbols. Its walls, towers and courtyards preserve the legacy of a fortress linked to the Knights Templar and to the history of the Way of Saint James.
Located next to the historic centre, it invites visitors to explore its spaces and discover the medieval history of El Bierzo. Inside, you will also find the Templar Library and various exhibition spaces.

Monday: closed.
♿ Accessibility: Facilitated access to exhibition areas. The towers and original ramparts from different centuries are not accessible.
